The Husqvarna Vitpilen, getting closer. If we told you that KTM is working hard on its models for next year, its efforts are also being felt in the Scandinavian brand owned by Mattighoffen. Husqvarna FE 501 led headlight looks so cool, do you want to try it? A year, 2017, that will be very important for Husqvarna, as it will start to be known as a true motorcycle brand and not as an exclusive manufacturer of motocross bikes.
And all this is thanks to the Vitpilen, motorcycles with a neoclassical character that will be the master of ceremonies for the landing of Husqvarna with road motorcycles. Different prototypes were already presented at the 2015 Milan Motor Show, but since the beginning of the year the first spy photos have been leaking, which are the ones we bring you today.
These are the Husqvarna Vitpilen 701 and 401. Both bikes derive from KTM's naked bikes (690 Duke in the case of the Vitpilen 701 and 390 Duke for the 401), from which they inherit the engine, chassis and suspension signed by WP. However, the main difference is in its aesthetics, with much more retro lines than the sporty airs that predominate in the Duke family.
It is expected that the power of its propellers will be less than that of the Duke and in the images it can be seen that both the seat and the handlebar offer a much more comfortable riding position that can only be understood if we talk about motorcycles with vintage essences. But this is not all, because Husqvarna is also working on another model, the Svartpilen, of which spy photos have not yet been leaked, although the Swedish brand claims that they will be scrambler-type motorcycles.
