The BMW C 400 X is a crossover-type maxi scooter with some nods in terms of its design to the Adventure family of the German brand, which is especially appreciated in the front LED headlight. You share many elements with the C 400 GT, a more GT orientation variant, that is, more comfortable and with greater road capacity.Beside C400X, there is f800gs with BMW F800GS led headlight system.
The C 400 X has been renewed in 2021, with the adaptation to Euro5 and with some other elements improved compared to the previous version.
The C 400 X's engine is a 34 hp single cylinder, perfect for the city and its surroundings, with a 12.8-liter fuel tank that includes a 4-liter reserve. ASC traction control increases active safety on steep slopes, in conjunction with Continental two-channel ABS and the radial-mounted front caliper from Brembo's Asian subsidiary Bybre. And to ensure system efficiency, the brake wiring is braided with metal.

The BMW connectivity package allows you to connect the motorcycle with the smartphone and the helmet via Bluetooth signal, everything being managed through a TFT screen and a free app with a multitude of options being available. Its price is € 605.
The instrumentation consists of an analog screen with the speedometer and an orange LCD where there is abundant information with on-board computer included. For better visibility, when the daytime running light is turned on, the speedometer light turns off. Optionally, BMM offers a 6.5-inch full-color TFT screen with a typical BMW "multicontroller" control on the left hand axle. The seat is located at 775mm but BMW offers an extra one at 760mm. In the cycle part, the suspension system is conventional, with a telescopic fork and two adjustable preload shock absorbers.
It is capable of storing two helmets, one full face plus one jet, thanks to the ingenious flex-case system inherited from the C 650 Sport that can only be used when we are stopped. This means that the rear part can be narrow and when we park we can store a second helmet thanks to a hatch equipped with security mesh to prevent theft. It also has a glove box with a lock on the right side where there is a power outlet.
