BMW Concept 9cento: Will the Future BMW Trail be Like This?

BMW has presented an interesting prototype that has been baptized as 9cento (nove cento). A trail that maintains its functionality with a remarkable sports DNA.

BMW Concept 9cento: will the future BMW trail be like this? The legendary Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este in 2018 has once again witnessed the extraordinary work carried out by the BMW Motorrad design department. Different from BMW F800GS led headlight, this 9cento headligh looks more beautiful. Without a doubt, the German manufacturer is one of the best in this section within the world of two wheels.

For this year's edition, BMW has surprised us with a preparation that it has baptized as 9cento and that seeks to combine the emotion and sensations that a sporty frame transmits, but with the comfort and versatility of any model that is part of the BMW trail range, always very focused on user comfort.

"Today it's not all about being bolder, bigger, brighter: this prototype motorcycle aims to achieve a sense of balance," explains Edgar Heinrich, Director of Design at BMW Motorrad. The Sport, Adventure and Tour styles are combined in a motorcycle that comes to occupy a space that BMW had never opted for.

Heinrich himself already gives us clues as to which segment this prototype could be inserted in if it reaches production: "The BMW Motorrad Concept 9cento is our interpretation of the modern and versatile motorcycle for a new mid-range segment." That is, it seems clear that it will be below the BMW S 1000 XR, a model that bears a certain resemblance to this concept.
Dynamism and comfort

In this way, the most sensible thing is to think that this 9cento will carry the engine that currently carries the F 850 GS, but the BMW F800GS led headlight does not fit for it, although if what is sought is dynamism, perhaps the propellant of the naked F 800 R would be the most reasonable. In any case, there is no doubt that BMW has important plans for this bike, since its appearance, in the prototype phase, is that of a truly 'finished' bike.

To complete the style that this 9cento seeks to convey, BMW has also created two types of motorcycle jackets, one with a more sporty cut and the other with a more touring aesthetic, in a clear nod to the main objective of the German firm: to combine the two worlds. under the same mechanism.
